Default MUFC loan fees...relating to Welbeck speculation earlier in the season

    Gab Marcotti

'Giuseppe Rossi's agent reveals interesting nugget abt MUFC + NUFC. When he was on loan at Newcastle, loan fee increased if he didn't play...'

Wonder if this was the nature of our deal with Man Utd for Welbeck as well?

Makes sense from the loaning club's point of view, but I would hope it allows for injury.

and on another note also from twitter
@Marcotti it has been rumoured that Welbeck has to start 75% of games at Sunderland when fit, which partly explains his usage on the left.

At the start of the season I said that if this was true it was ridiculous for us to agree it. But has turned out to be a brilliant bit of business because having a settled place in the team has done the lad wonders.

NUFC were a whole different kettle of fish then.
Besides since RK went and ES took control have we ever demonstrated that we've been taken to the cleaners etc by any club?

Wish the lad was fit. That performance down Chelsea is one of the best all time Sunderland performances I can remember.

Yes we have reaped the benefits but not as much as Man Utd have,in a few month we are going to be sending back a top Premier League striker because of the coaching/opportunities we have give him and we know their is literally no chance of keeping him on.

Don't get me wrong if we are after anymore young'uns from United then Fergie will more than likely send them to us after the chances we have given Welbeck but thats a very small consolation to losing a player who has been outstanding for us since the mag game.

He was excellent for us long before the mag's game.
He changed the game for us against Citeh after Campbell went off.
He was the best on the park against Liverpool.
