He's a better option than those being bandied about imho, the likes of Fuller and Piqiounne (sp) are over thirty and probably overpriced. Less of a risk to give someone mid 20s like Elmander a longer contract on better money as he'll have a larger resale value.

Elmander will be 30 come the start of next season so there's little resale value really.
