For the record, one player Bruce did rule out signing y'day was Kevin Phillips. Has previously knocked back Owen, Keane. #SAFC

If were looking to bring a couple of strikers in, considering they'll both probably be short term measures I think SKP would be ideal

Probably the nostalgia taking over, but I'd have him back in a shot until the end of the season.

    Good.

It was a bad idea. Never go back, it never works.

Aye, in that interview Quinny gave he was saying that we wouldnt be looking to sign Keane because we really wanted to get someone in who had a bit of presence up front, so at that point i figured we'd say no to Phillips as well like. Birmingham reserve or not, i'd have happily seen him back as cover for a few months tbh, they do say not to go back but in this case he wouldnt be returning as a starting striker or owt, so peoples opinions of him wouldnt be tainted if he didnt get goals but anyway, no doubt just nostalgia talking!
