Not saying it's the case with Johnson, but 'family reasons' and 'personal reasons' often are code for 'apparently I'm going to be appearing in the News of the World this Sunday doing a line of coke out of my ladyboy lover's arse crack while dressed like an adult baby' or 'I've been doing one of my civil servants and now my wife's found out and told me it's either my red box, or my kids.' Or maybe 'they found me curled up in a ball, shaking and talking about the shadows in the corner pointing at me, always pointing at me, and now the nice man says I have to rest'.

Personal reasons. The oldest of old chestnuts.

He has obviously resigned because he is not even close to being up to the job. However, why that should concern him I can't imagine, as he is shadowing a chancellor who appears equally clueless, and is only in the job ahead of far superior men, ( Michael Fallon, John Redwood and Phillip Hammond to name three) because of his long time association with Dave, "I'll sell you down the river as well" Cameron.

May the vilest pox descend on all their subsidised houses.

Sorry, even though I don't agree with you much I do think you have a good understanding of politics. Again, sorry for being thick but can you elucidate?
