If he continues to improve & deserves a wage increase, IMO he will become the top earner at Newcastle....however he will need to stay within the wage structure, I can't see MA paying anyone over say £60k per week anymore. If Carroll decides to do a Bent & wants the mega-money then I fear he would have to move on.....hopefully for a sizeable fee ala Bent.....although there is no guarantees that Pardew or the then manager would see much/any of the transfer fee. He says he wants to stay for his whole career, be like shearer etc......time will tell!

If any club offered us the kind of money Villa have paid for Bent i think we would take it.

If any club offered Carroll the kind of salary that Villa are alledged to be paying Bent i think the player would take it.

Would anyone seriously turn down a position with a new employer who was offering such an enormous increase in salary?
