    Have you known anyone ever try to provoke someone into saying or doing something that will result in them being fired?

    Yes...couple of times.....mostly by giving the p.i.q. a task he or she will never be able to fullfill as required...build up a dossier etc.etc.....scary stuff

    If you can prove it, could be grounds for constructive dismissal, or the other person being disciplined. Big 'if' though.
