In a far fetched hypothetical scenario, what would happen if the Government introduced a law banning posting on Message Boards and we all got locked up. We would like the chance to vote out the government who brought in such a crazy law.
Also, where does their vote count? Will all prisoners in Durham Nick vote in Durham?
I don't really care enough about it to think it thorugh properly.

    Agree with Restless Natives.

The ECHR ruled the UK's ban on prisoners voting was illegal. This is a limited "fudge" to meet European Law while keeping Little Englanders happy.

The punishment of imprisonment is about restricting your freedom because you can't be trusted to behave on the outside. No reason you shouldn't be allowed vote from prison.
