Steve could instantly make Rico a much better player by telling him never again - under any circumstances - is he to go near our free kicks.

A sad indictment of our freekick taking abilities, but he is still the best we have. He's actually scored one for starters, which nobody else has managed except the man out on loan.

    Did you see Gyan's effort?

We desperately need to either appoint a set-piece coach a la FM2011, or concentrate more in training doing them. Absolutely zero invention or any idea other than to shoot miles over the bar.

    Asamoah Gyan makes things happen.

Henderson is far more effective on the right hand side.

Zenden makes other players play better.

Elmo must play at right back and be encouraged to run with the ball.
Despite having to reorganise our defence yet again ( and early in the game ) we are clearly a well honed, well organised team capable of keeping our shape, and making a rated side look very very ordinary.
The joys of a proper manager !

We learned that if the rest of the Premier League fixtures are postponed and the only other game is a 1:1 draw, we might get to be main game on MOTD and what would otherwise have been a save, a goal and about 2 minute and 30 seconds of missed shots and bookings will get turned into extended highlights.

So we are dropping Bardsley? Why?

We didn't learn that from the weekends game, we've known for ages. In fact Bruce seemed to have finally cottoned on at the beginning of the season and gave him the No 3 shirt. He should be competing with Bardsley for the LB position and only used elsewhere in an emergency.

I'd settle for some accuracy in the absence of invention. We don't seem to have anyone who can strike a dead ball at goal, on target, aside from Richardson once in every blue moon. Our throw ins are pretty poor too, we seem to just throw it up the line to one of the forwards to flick it on - then we lose posession. We did that when Jones was in the team too.

Our corners and indirect free kicks must be the worst in the PL to be honest.
