    Default iTunes help please (sorry!)

I've moved my music library to an external hard drive as had run of of memory on my laptop.

I have now 'added new folder to library' and given my hard drive as the new location for media folder, but it seems to have duplicated every one of my songs

Any idea how I group together all the duplicates and delete them ?

    Cheers

On the menu at the left hand side there's a 'Recently Added' tab, click on there and it should show all the ones added on the second time. Highlight and delete.

If all entries are on there then sort by the time and there'll be two sets of times when they were added, just highlight and delete one set.

Shows the 'second' lot - Highlighted it, but it won't let me delete ??

Just delete your whole library and add it again from the external harddrive.

Ok, go to your main music list (Music on top left hand side) and sort by Date Added (if this isn't there as a default go to View->View options and select it). Then sort by date added and delete, that should work.

Before you do it though, go to any track and check the path in the info tab as you need to make sure the set of tracks you keep is the ones with the path to your hard drive.
