The same thing happens to me. No matter how sleep deprived I am I tend to wake up, wide awake, at 6:00 am (USA pacific coast time) whenever the lads are on at that time. So I just get up and watch live. Keep in mind now, that I've never even set foot in the UK, much less in Sunderland, yet I have the fever BAD. (But I love it! ) I do hope to visit Wearside someday, andtake in a few matches live. Perhaps a champions league match in a year or two.

Yeah, I have FSC, FSC+ and Foxsoccertv(for the games not on TV!) and been getting up early since 1999 when I could listen for free on 28.8 dial up, Metro FM I believe it was. Not as many games on TV back then. Been over 5 times since 2002. Missed out this year. We were in Ireland and were booked to fly over for the Burnley game but flight cancelled because of the volcano. Hope you get over soon, it's excellent!

FFS, you all need to stop trying to give the wife reasons why I don't need to get up and head to the pub on Saturday and Sunday mornings!!!

Nah, just rely on the "If i can't be there being in a bar watching it is the next best thing..."
Then again.... i haven't watched a game in a bar since before i left Sunderland...... but i also don't really drink at 7am either.....
By the way, that bar in the basement earlier in the thread looks amazing.... may have to sort something like that out when we get a spare room...... a nice project to sort out

Thanks mate...was a lot of fun putting it together. I did all the woodwork and construction myself so it took almost a year, but it's worth it when you can stand back and know you did it yourself.
I think what's just as fun is collecting memorabilia for it. What's a pub without hanging things on the wall everywhere?! I've got an open wall just waiting for a Sunderland shirt. I tried to get a poppy shirt this year and last but no luck. Oh well, next time.

Wish we could get it over here..... Company called Trader Joes used to do it until the exchange rate went crazy..... hoping as it has settled down now that they start doing it again!
