** I know he is at the end of his career but is world class and he has kept himself right.

and with some good players knocking around who can can do a job in the premiership as well:

Overall, the club is in a healthy position and if these players were all at another club (Villa, Everton or Spurs) I would expect them to finish in the top 8, especially if Gyan continues to score goals and if Riveros can settle into the team/club/area/way of life fairly quickly.

Not a bad time to be a Sunderland supporter.
