A Decent Man
Back in January 2008, Sam Allardyce was sacked by Mike Ashley - with Newcastle in 11th place - having gained 26 points at a rate of 1.2 points a game.
On Monday, Chris Hughton was sacked by Mike Ashley - with Newcastle in 11th place - having gained 19 points at a rate of 1.2 points a game.
15 months later, Newcastle were relegated after a year in which Ashley's regime descended into the most dreadful shambles, making the Bobby-from-King-Of-The-Hill lookalike appear clueless, out of touch and having scant regard for basic human decency.
If you'll excuse us being a little partisan, Mediawatch desperately hopes history repeats itself.
