Couldn't see anything about him so far, but i thought he played very well when he came on

He gave us the outlet we needed at the time, carrying the ball into the opposition half and also giving the players at the back who'd been hoofing for half an hour or so someone to aim at. I'm still not convinced by his crossing while his shooting ability is up there with Bardsleys

Aye, had a couple of canny runs at Gabbidon in the short time he was on.

I would like to see Bruce be a bit more pro-active with his subs though. Give the lad 15/20 minutes and tell him to run his heart out at the tiring fullbacks. Elmo's pace could have caused so many more problems had he been on 10 minutes earlier, especially considering how shattered Henderson looked.

He's a good squad player and should have maybe played one or two games when Henderson was clearly knackered and a bit rubbish in between Chelsea and yesterday.

If we have top table aspirations we need to have players like him in the squad. He's been a game winner before and could be a super sub, fast and direct, the kind of player you hate to see brought on against you in the last twenty. He could also be a good right winger but not as good as Henderson. Would not be averse to trying him of the left mind.

I don't understand why he doesn't play more games at home, with his pace, arial ability and willingness to take players on.

Dont see how he could of played yesterday, who would you have dropped? Still looks a bit raw to me, however I think he could be a decent player for us with a bit of coaching. He's never played in europe before nevermind europe so its going to take time.

Henderson. Other than the goal he did little right, and there was lots of talk pre match that he would be dropped as he is knackered.

Players like Elmo will be handy over christmas when we have loads of games in a short space of time. Would like to see him in the cup game too, his pace should be too much for a lower league team.

I agree we need Elmo in the squad and im sure he will be given some more oppertunities over xmas. Henderson should play on the right rather than centre for me, and im sure we will have to rest him soon with a lot of games coming up.

I also thought Zenden was unlucky to be dropped.

Id be tempted to put Zenden in the centre and drop Richardson.

Hopefully Meyler will be back in the coming weeks too, nice selection choices.
