Our best player on Tuesday in my view, great performance against a variety of styles and players for Spurs.

Typical that the England manager only notices someone when they play against a top 4/london team, if they watched us week in week out they would see Titus Bramble is the better of the two.
Found the link also, its about a paragraph or two down

Buy a copy of todays Times, there is quite a long article about Henderson on page 3 of the sports section and towards the end it says that Turner is also in 30 man squad

Re: Anyone got the link to this Michael Turner in the 30 man squad rumour?
Said article from The Times:
Quote:
Midfield player ready to complete meteoric rise
Manchester City, Manchester United and Arsenal are leading the increasingly crowded field in pursuit of Jordan Henderson, whose rapid rise to prominence is set to be confirmed today with a call-up to the England squad.
The Sunderland midfield player has been monitored by Fabio Capello since last season, when he made a dramatic impact for Steve Bruce’s side.
The club’s hierarchy are fully aware of the growing clamour surrounding the 20-year-old, whom they tied to a new five-year contract in April, and have received several expressions of interest, directly and indirectly, in him.
An energetic, strong and versatile player, Henderson has shown little fear since making his Barclays Premier League debut two years ago and while he has made only 35 starts in the division, his progress has been startling.
Having been omitted from the England Under-21 squad, for which he has made five appearances, Henderson is expected to feature alongside Andy Carroll, of Newcastle United, Jack Wilshere, of Arsenal, Phil Jones, of Blackburn Rovers, and Matt Jarvis, of Wolverhampton Wanderers, in the youngest full squad of the Capello era.
While Sunderland have designs on establishing themselves as a regular top-ten side and will do everything possible to rebuff Henderson’s suitors — particularly in the next transfer window — Bruce conceded yesterday that they would struggle in the face of concerted interest from the top four.
“I sincerely hope we can keep Jordan,” the manager said. “We will try desperately. But I am a realist — if one of the big giants come along, we will be up against it. If ridiculous money is offered, it will be difficult, but we will face that if it comes.”
United will embark on a significant round of rebuilding next summer and City, for all their extravagant expenditure, remain determined to retain a core of talented English personnel. They have experience of luring one player from the North East, having signed Adam Johnson from Middlesbrough last winter.
Only 18 months ago, Henderson, who can play in central midfield, on the right, in a holding role or as a supplementary attacker, was on loan at Coventry City. “It could be a meteoric rise,” Bruce said. “What we gather is that he’s in with an outstanding chance of being in the England squad.
“To get to that level would be great for this club and the people who have helped bring him on. He is levelheaded and that’s a compliment to his parents. He just wants to play football and get better. Too many kids are not like that and want the other side. He is the modern-day player, is constantly reaching 13km in a match. And he has a spot-on attitude, which is quite refreshing. As the old saying goes, if you are good enough, you are old enough.
“He is a great athlete — big, twofooted, a good footballer — but the biggest compliment I can give him is that he just wants to play. His family and myself will ensure that he stays like that. It comes naturally to him. He has had two or three contracts during his rise, but it has not mattered a jot to him. If he keeps progressing, he will be an England player for a long time.
“I have seen nothing in him for me to worry about. He’s a great kid. I always have to take him in from training. He does extra shooting practice and is always the last off. Whether it’s shooting, taking free kicks or being in the gym, it’s fantastic to see. It sounds too good to be true, doesn’t it?”
Not for the first time, Michael Turner, the Sunderland centre half, was included in Capello’s provisional squad, a reward for his consistency this season. “He is not easy on the eye, the nicest of movers or the quickest, but neither was Tony Adams,” Bruce said.
“But he defends the goal for his life and is fiercely committed. He is a throwback because all he wants to do is defend. He is not a Rio Ferdinand who can step out of defence and play a one-two with a Rolls-Royce engine, but he’ll head, block and throw himself at everything.”
