if he can stake a claim by being solid for hull, he surely has an equal claim because he's solid for us. - He won't be picked like...

Not good enough a ball player for international level like. But then again , neither were Terry Butcher or Tony Adams...

He hasnt even been Sunderland's best English defender this year either.

There's no link to the actual squad, but Bruce has said in a few interviews (particularly in The Times and The Daily Mail) that he's in, and spoke about him a bit.

I'd disagree. I think it's been a pretty impressive partnership with both parties doing their job extremely well... Scum game aside. He was immense again against tottenham

He seems to struggle a bit against big, strong strikers. Which is odd, because he is a very old fashioned centre-half, and he is supposed to be a bit of a brute-type defender. You'd expect more nimble players to do him, but he's generally alright against them.

He was very dodgy against Villa and he kept giving Stoke throw ins.

I'm not Turner's biggest fan at all - during the Stoke game I thought my head was going to melt with him knocking it our for throw-ins while Delap was on the pitch, but he was one of the best players at Spurs, was brilliant.

I think he is our best centre half at the club, but needs some one a long side who will keep calm and can play the ball.

Ive searched all over and the closest I got was to a 30 man provional squad that has Bothroyd in it but no Turner.
