About how good we really are and how competitive we are likely to be this season. Anyone agree?

I also agree, its all well and good giving the better sides in the division a good going over but we need to go to places like Blackburn on a cold wet Monday night and pick up 3 points if we really want to progress!

up to now I think most fans are happy (in general) with the results against who we have played........BUT lose tonight and the season takes a very different viewpoint

2 points off bottom with teams like Liverpool and Birmingham likely to pass us.

Win tonight and we can be begin to think we are going in the right direction

Crucial result.......don't care if it is a stinker of a game.....crucial 3 points for perception and confidence.

Crucial not to lose or play very very well and lose unluckily IMO

I agree with you.
We have definitely got better at playing against the big clubs.
But these really are the games we need to win if we want to go to the next level.
Im optimistic and think we will win tonight and take sunderland to the next level.
3-1 to us Gyan first goal (thats what my money's on)
