We had this a couple of months ago when we got our puli pup.

In short, you have to ride it out. There are things to try though. Routine is useful. Ours sleeps in a cage. Its supposed to make them feel secure. We cover it with a blanket. Put in an item of clothes that smell of you to comfort him. Leave a radio on on a gentle station such as classic fm or radio 4. Last of all, you could try DAP. Its a plug in infuser that gives off the pheromone that lactating bitches produce. It is suppose d to soothe dogs.

We tried all of the above (together). We had 3 bad nights then he settled. 2 months on and he barks for a couple of minutes when we put him to bed then goes to sleep all night till I wake him in the morning.

Best of luck mate, it's hard not to give in.

I knew a lady called Mable who did the same all night. We cured it by allowing her to wee in the park and build her own nest.

I have a dog, he's a rescue dog and one of the nicest people I've met as I said he has a camp beside the bed and often goes up into it. When I go to bed he pops his head up to acknowledge the fact that I'm there then goes back to sleep.
In the morning when he hears me stirring he jumps up and stretches out beside me until I decide to get up.
Tell me what's wrong with that
