    Get an old jumper and wear it each day when you sit with him and play with him. At night, put that jumper in its bed with him. Another trick I was told was to get an alarm clock witha pretty loud tick and leave it near his bed. You could put the radio on where he sleeps and leave it low as it can then hear the voices thinking it has company
    Its lonely and thinking its pack ( you) have left it.
    As already said ffs and I state !!

    DO NOT LET THE DOG SLEEP IN YOUR BEDROOM OR ON YOUR BED !!!

    Cage, all the dogs we have had, as pups cage them, its security ofr them...a few months down the line, take it away, introduce thier bed, and it wil be fine..

    My dog slept on our bed until we moved, i liked having her near, she was fine. Has her own bedroom now like.

    Maybe leave a small standard lamp and an assortment of magazines too
    just in case he gets bored.

    do what everyone has said so far and also put a hot water bottle in the bed so it feels like another pup, this stopped it within a few days for me lurcher.
