Anyone been? Off there tomorrow for 5 days / 4 nights. Mixture between daytime relaxing and night time drinking. Any particular recommendations?

I know its pretty pricey for a beer over there. And I know it isnt going to be packed like the Costa's.

I went there about 20 years ago. Only used it as a base for a couple of days while I drove down and back to the running of the bulls in Pamplona. Remember it as being a bit boring if nowt else. Which is France in a nutshell really.

Only passed through it, but it's the Basque country so you could pay a visit to Hondarribia and San Sebastien over in Spain.

Staying in France, St Jean de Luz is very nice, just along the coast.

For scenery just head towards the pyrenees towards Roncevalles.

And Biaritz is hideously expensive BTW. I mean really, really expensive.

Guaranteed to rain. Good surf, relaxed atmosphere there. I liked it.

Some great surf spots if you're into that.

As mentioned extortionate prices on the drink. Haven't done it for about 15 years but mine sweeping might be an option? Some hot French chicks knocking about which may soften the blow.
