Of the team and the fans at Anfield today.

After the setback of the bizarre opening goal SAFC's heads did not go down and we got a deserved point and should have had a second penalty when Danny Wellbeck was taken out by Reina.

The Sunderland fans seemed very loud from where I was in the ground and the stewards various attempts to make sections of us sit down was most amusing.

Catts Bramble Elmo and Hendo were my top men but all the SAFC players did well.

I memorable effort from the team and the fans. Nice touch to see the players clearly enjoying the scenes with the fans at the final whistle.

It's games like this that make you proud to be a Sunderland fan. After the awful start, we didn't let our heads drop and just got on with it. Shame we couldn't hold on for a win, but it doesn't seem so long ago we were all complaining that we never get anything out of games against the top clubs. This season and last season have shown we an compete now in these games.

The support sounded good on TV

That's two good performances against league heavy weights where two strange goals have meant we have come away with 2 points when it could have been more.

A few year ago our heads would have dropped after going 1-0 down.
