crash last night on a19 just before seaham turn off

anyne heard about this or know the outcome, about 8pm last night, never seen so many emergeny services in one place, 7 fire engines 6 ambulances and about 6 cop cars.

when we finally got through there was a smart car facing omcoming traffic with damaged to the back, glass etc all over the road and what looked liked a peugot 306 upside down with the roof crushed and one of its wheels the opposite side of the road on the hard shoulder... dunno if tehre was many people in the peugot but id be surprised if there not either critical or dead hope not but it didnt look good.

I was stuck in that, hope the people involved are ok but to me it looked like the smart car had pulled out without realising someone was inside the outside lane and they smashed into them. There were a few idiot drivers on the a19 last night, i assume it was weekend drivers from the great north run

yeah i was meself well in me da's van i was about 6-7 cars down from the first cop car, it looked messy but i was expecting to see a mass car pile up/carnage from the amout of emergency serives

either way the peugot looked like it came off a hell of a lot worse than the smart car
