Default Cattermole should learn from Kevin Ball

kevin ball was a combative midfielder and i know he was sent off a few times in his career but not as regular as it seems as cattermole. Cattermole seems to be getting booked for stupid stuff like dissent and shirt pulling if your going to get sent off do something like De Jongs kung fu kick on Xavi Alonso in world cup final.

I know he is still young and he is still learning , but has he not learn't anything from the birmingham game.

At the rate he is going he is going to get sent off 9 time this season.

Cattermole is a much better player than ball ever was and plays at a higherlevel.
Ball was only ever good enough at CCC level so the comparison is fatuous.

Kevin Ball wouldn't last 5 minutes in today's non-contact sport. He'd be sent off just as much as Catts.

Catts problem is he keeps getting in the refs badbooks by doing stupid "tackles" when there is no danger. Until he sorts that out we will run the risk of being down a man after 20 minutes in every match he plays.

If there isn't much danger and we have plenty men behind the ball then don't foul the player. Its pretty simple like.

The first was never a card and the ref should be shot for giving one, but Catts had no need to get entangled with the player in the first place.

The thing is, his first booking wasn't stupid. It was for fuck all and the ref couldn't wait to get his card out. You'll see the same kind of challenge week in, week out, go unpunished. His second one was stupid like

Bally would get his marching orders every game these days.

I remember when he cut some young lad in half against Port Vale (?) at home. He came on to the away crowd going wild at half time and bally ended his game (career) by breaking his leg within minutes.

He needs to wise up and get his fouls in the right sequence. If he'd done the foul he got the first card for after the daft tackle he wouldn't have got a yellow for it.
I know that sounds daft but Marriner wouldn't have dared produce a second yellow for something that innocuous. As it was Catts made it easy for him doing such a rash challenge after picking up a soft first card.
