    Default BBC4 the neet...

ust watching 'Coast' now, as part of 'North East night' on BBC4.

As per, Sunderland doesn't get a bastard mention, and the programme supposed to cover interesting features from Tyneside to Hull. The only time Wearside was mentioned was when it was revealed 'Bede also spent time at St Peters, as well as Jarrow'. That boils my piss.

Anyways, the evening continues with some documentary about Byker by a film-maker who went back after 40 years or sumink. Might be a laugh?!

They referred to it as Newcastle night when I was watching. Coast has been in Sunderland previously as well.

aye, just realised that - I stand corrected.

The Coast that was filmed in Sunderland was a bit depressing, iirc. Didn't mention any of the positive bits ... just mines n ships n that. People must learn to move on.

Heritage is one thing ... but fond memories don't pay the council tax.
