    Default Steed Malbranque

Since Brucie put him over on the left flank he has been simply outstanding, with his technical ability and first touch (as good as I have seen in a sunderland shirt) it just got me thinking why did this lad never get the chance to play for a top top club (ie big four, clubs performing in europe etc..). Sure you lad a few quality seasons down in london with Fulham, then went to spurs and had another successful spell with them. My only guess would be his fitness as many have stated he is a smoker (not sure as I have no evidence to prove) but what is true is that very rarely he will last the 90 minutes, with that said though he can last the entire game but Brucie tends to take him off around 60-70mins.

My question is why do you think he never got a big move?

Not that i'm complaining, STTTTTTTEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE EDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD DD

Lack of pace/height/build/strength and inability to finish games has probably cost him a place at a top, top side, he certainly has all the technical attributes to play for one.

    He simply doesn't produce enough.

His first touch is one of the best in the premier league, never mind just in a Sunderland shirt IMO.

He had a chance to move to Arsenal whilst he was at Lyon but turned them down IIRC.

As is the case with a lot of our technically gifted players, they are only playing for Sunderland because they have a major flaw.

    Mensah - Absolute crock
Steed - Cant finish a game
    Reid - Fat twat.

He's had his lows with us, but still, what a cracking signing he has been for us! Still going strong and there seems to be at least this and one more year in him, playing at this level. So much better on the left. Great player for us. Steeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee eeeeeeeeeeed ...

    Can't understand the Steed Wankathon.

Fair enough he has a great 1st touch and gets stuck in but his major problem is his last touch not his 1st.

How many times does he do brilliantly only to fuck up the through ball or cross. Or come up with a piss poor shot.

He is a lot like Richardson in doing this.

IMO the final touch is what makes a grat player not some fancy skill.

And if he had this 'final touch' he wouldn't be playing for Sunderland. People expect him to set up a chance with every touch

I know what your saying but he hardly ever seems to produce a quality final ball. Like I said much like Richardson.

Que some smart arse coming up with some stats to prove he sets up the most goals for us
