roberto says as far as he knows birmingham are the only club in for n'zogbia, and the latest offer is less than the last one they made

May be less but up front as opposed to instalments and add ons.

I would be. No point paying over the odds for a player who'll be desperate to be away, if they're the only club in for him then Brum have Wigan over a barrel.

Was their first bid before or after his "mental issues" became public?

All presupposing Nzogbia would accept any terms made by brum. If he doesnt want to go there neither Brum nor Wigan can do anything about it. Zog holds most of the good cards.

Aye, fair point, I'm betting that he'll just want to be out of Wigan by the end of the window though, and if the only people bidding for him are Brum then he'll end up there. He can always leave again next summer anyway.

This is a good point and I wouldn't be surprised at all if he turned down Birmingham which isn't to much of a step up at all.

I can understand people saying that about Sunderland as well although it's worth bearing in mind he would get to play in front of 40,000 fans every week instead of 25,000, for a manager he likes, and an area he's previously lived in.

I think its a shame we seem to be priced out of the deal for a player that is rumored to want to come here, there arnt many of them about.
