I have seen loads of dead hedgehogs lately when driving, it's abit like playing spot the red car with the bairns in the back "theres another one".
The other month it was masses of seagull feathers on the road. I'm sure we are due a pigeon roadkill spate.
What roadkill have you seen?
Do hedgehogs hibernate? That would be an explanation for the summer bloodbath.
Iíve wiped out loads of creatures over the years, including a couple of cats and a pheasant which smashed the grill on the front of my car.
My personal favourite, however, was a rabbit on a country lane I was driving down late one night. It looked straight at me then tried to run away from the car but in the direction I was travelling. Every time I swerved to try not to hit it, it moved in exactly the same direction and managed to align itself perfectly with the driverís side wheels so I managed to hit it with both the front and back tyres.
