rarely go into pubs anymore but when i did mixin beers with other drinks was popular.

in my day Black and Tan was popular, and so was Black Velvet.

Are they still popular? What others are there that are unusual?

Down here more pubs are Greene King than anything else. Abbot Ale gives me cracking headaches but tastes lush, so often get half Abbot/half IPA. I've seen it offered as "house special" at one country pub but always get a funny look if I order one anywhere else.

Other than that, drank turbo shandy or cheeky vimto, i.e. Smirnoff Ice/Lager and Port/WKD Blue regularly as a student. Not for a few years though
