It's about balancing the books. Bruce must (hopefully) have someone in mind who will improve the squad if Jones goes. The transfer fee is pretty irrelevant IMO. It's all about keeping the wage bill at the correct ratio of turnover.

They come to England for the money. It's an instant boost. How much was Cana on again? This guy has just played at the World Cup and his stock is inflated, I bet you would be looking at £50k easily.

We should be able to get someone in for £50k and possibly another on lower.

The main worry is the season kicks off in 4 days and we have a much weaker team than last seasons end game.

No Gordon, Hutton, Cana, Jones (possibly)
No replacements apart from Bramble!
