Default Anyone cancelled Sky before the minimum 12 months expired?

Signed up to HD about 3 or 4 months ago and thinking about cancelling. Has anyone done this and what are the consequences?

I had no bother, mate.Rang them up,told them I wanted to cancel, she said fine 1 months notice and 4 weeks later it was gone.

Mind you, they've rung me 3 times since to try to persuade me to have it back.

Were you part of the 12 month contract that was agreed to at the point of signing up to it?

If its that easy, I want rid of the HD stuff too, I dont even bother with putting the HD channels on anymore.

If you are on a 12mth contract mate you need to pay the remaining amount; so if you leave after 6mths, it will cost you £60.

However, am I right in thinking Sky are not going to charge for HD? I'm sure we got a letter about it

Emperors new clothes, because somebody says HD is super duper and looks 10 times better than normal tv, the sheep follow and pay £10 extra a month with SKY

Going back a couple of years like (before HD) I rang to cancel sky after my 12 month contract was up, they tried to get me to change my mind a couple of times but when I didn't, they offered me the full package for the next 12 months at half price.
