    Default Google Nexus - SMS

    How do,

    When texting on the Google Nexus One, is there anyway of taking off that stupid android qwerty keyboard - cannot get away with it!! Anyway you can just switch to normal texting - on a phone dial??

    There should be a little cog type thing in the bottom of keyboard, press that then you can choose.

    Nah, I can't see a cog. I can't even access my contacts when I want to send a text? How am I supposed to choose who I want to send a text too??????

    I can see this thing going back sharpish!

    Do they still do the Nokia 3210 anywhere?!!

    Also how do you access your phone book when selecting 'to' . At the minute I can only reply to messages...

    or search for swift key on the android market.

    Oh, and I use handcent SMS and I've got a desire, so I dunno what the default sms program is like.
