It's a sad state of affairs....
When our own "fans" turn on a player before he's pulled on the shirt or set foot on the pitch for us. It's even more annoying when we have no right to turn on the player in question seeing as he's by no means making a step up in class to play for us.
Since 2000 Titus Bramble has played ten consecutive seasons at Premiership level, I may be wrong but I don't recall him ever being in a relegated side seeing as Ipswich sold him before going down.
Sunderland AFC have, since 1992 spent only nine seasons in the Premiership, being relegated on no fewer than four occasions. This of course means that Titus Bramble has played more seasons of Premiership football than Sunderland AFC have as a club.
How the hell can we, on the back of a lower mid-table finish including a spell of four months without a win, have the gall to suggest that he's not good enough for us before he's even played a game for us? Exactly where in the football heirarchy do some of the lunatics who post on here think we've got to?
The fact of the matter is that Bramble went through a period of his career during which, regardless of his performances generally, he made a number of high profile gaffes. This led to the majority of people making jokes at his expense and has blinkered people to the fact that he has been a good, solid premiership centre half for years now. The same happened to David "Calamity" James whilst he was at Liverpool, who has been since recognised as one of the best goalkeepers in the country for some years, including a spell as Englands no 1.
A lot of people on here need to grow up or stay away from the SOL; or we'll deservedly go the same way as the mags.

Excellent post. Some people forget where we were when Keane took over. Ill be gutted if Bramble is not even allowed to step into the club before the fans decide hes not wanted.

Lack of football knowledge on here is frightening to be fair.
Luckily only a small cross-section of a regular crowd.

Yes, it's a veritable Southern-style lynching.
