    Watched one of the last ones take off from Edinburgh. Traffic was gridlocked along the A89 as everybody just stopped their cars and got out to watch,

    No other airline or country was prepared to shell out for it so BA got it for next to nothing.

    Was supposed to cost £150m but cost the taxpayer £1.5b. Would that be acceptable these days? Actually probably would......
