The club have been linked with a move to bring Sunderland centre-back George McCartney back to Upton Park, two years after selling the Northern Ireland international to the Black Cats. Sol Campbell and Mexico winger Pablo Barrera are also reportedly interesting the club.

It's a bit sad about McCartney; I had my reservations when he returned, but wanted him to do well for us.

I can't see him staying with us next season but didn't his wife not like London?

He was playing well there, so needs to put his career first.

There was a few times he looked like he might recapture his form but on the whole he has been awful and a massive waste of money.

Although I'm neither for or against it, as I don't have enough information to give an informed opinion, some will say he was the man who diagnosed Mensah's back problem, along with the problem Cana supposedly has with his knees.

If Ringo is going as a CB, perhaps Upson is leaving.
He's a high earner who the dildo lads will want off the payroll.
They said new players coming in would be paid no higher than 20-25k bracket.
Maybe he's a part ex with Upson going the otherway plus dosh.
Hitzlsperger, was a freebie, and maybe now Ringo.
It appears they probably couldnt afford even Gosling's wages, if the NUFC thread is to be believed.
