I got to 2 quarter finals in Joberg -

Ghana v Uruguay
Spain v Paraguay

Those vuvezalas are unbelieveably loud, physically hurt your lugs!!!

And Soccer City is easily the best stadium I have been to, just awesome

Thanks for the tip-off. Sounds a tad weird I must admit.

I was lucky, went over with work (although the timing was more than fortunate!!!) then stayed a couple of extra nights to take the games in. The ticket prices were a bit f a surprise mind - 2100 rand for Ghana match (about £200) and $200 for the spain game (£130ish).

180 quid for the game against the Krauts, 1st time watched them live and even though when in the UK only live 40 miles from Wembley will never again pay to watch that shower of shit......weird experience feels like I have no association with the national team whatsoever.....

I was with locals mate, they sourced the tickets. We had 5 tickets for Ghana v Uruguay, all together, all 2100 rand. They were category 1's but seats were the equivalent of east stand but very close to south-east corner (so i assumed there were many category 1 tickets)

Majority of lerkels live on a quid a day.....I don't mind the europeans et al sudsidisng their tickets, but object to the majority of the profit going to FIFA, they must have made 4-5 billion dollars from a 3 wk tournament
