Worth putting up with that spiel to get them at the price you do as far as I am concerned.

Not cheap in my case, as I could have got by without new glasses. Perhaps I suffer too much from trusting medical professionals' integrity, this lot behave like car salesmen.

I know D&A are a chain and part of Boots. I just went there because they were convenient and weren't Specsavers. Luckily, their optician was good and got my prescription spot on.

Coincidentally, I don't recall having trouble with Specsavers in Durham when I went there donkeys years ago, just the Consett branch.

this is true. they even do contact lenses. which would counterbalance not only the eye weakness, but also the fact that you will look like a right spenk.
