    Not cheap in my case, as I could have got by without new glasses. Perhaps I suffer too much from trusting medical professionals' integrity, this lot behave like car salesmen.

    I know D&A are a chain and part of Boots. I just went there because they were convenient and weren't Specsavers. Luckily, their optician was good and got my prescription spot on.

    Coincidentally, I don't recall having trouble with Specsavers in Durham when I went there donkeys years ago, just the Consett branch.
