Victoria car park Consett - ticket scam

Victoria car park in Consett (Between Icaland and the bus station) now has ANPR cameras and is issuing £50 tickets in the post to anyone who over stays the 2 hour limit.

These are not 'Fines' but a private charge for a breach of contract you accepted when you parked in their car park.

Dont pay if you get one.

They have to prove it was you - not just your car before they can even stand a chance of enforcing this charge.

How to deal with them.
1. ignore the 'ticket'
2 Ignore further letters. And remember they cant enforce any threats unless they get a court order - which they cant get.
3. Go to No 1.

They give up after a few months of threatening letters.

That is all.

Aye I have seen that, strange when the rest of Consett is free parking.
