    Low's team batter amateur outfit

    Germany: 24-0 triumph
Germany's preparations for the World Cup finals were aided as they recorded a 24-0 hammering of an amateur team.

Joachim's Low side were enjoying a workout against a young local team from Eppan, with frontmen Miroslav Klose and Mario Gomez bearing significant fruit as they plundered five goals apiece.

Piotr Trochowski (three), Andreas Beck (two), Toni Kroos (two), Arne Friedrich (one) and Sami Khedira (one), all found the net, while strikers Cacau and Stefan Kiessling scored two each.
I don't see the point of playing such poor opposition this close to the World Cup.

If Germany want to warm up for the World Cup by playing against Jarra blind school then that's fine by me, but it's not gonna get them anywhere.

I seem to remember them doing this previously. I guess it's all about building confidence for the forwards but I can't see what they can gain defensively.
