Sky HD EPG

I've had Sky HD for a few months now, and it still hasnt installed the new EPG that they keep advertising as being so great. Its an Amstrad box.

Had a chat to Sky just after the installation and they had no idea at all when it would get updated.

Anyone else still on the old EPG or know how to get the new one?

It was around 3 months before mine updated mate. I got mine installed March 2009 for the record.

Cheers. I'm getting paranoid thinking that they have stopped sending out the updates.

They're doing the updates gradually by manufacturer I believe.

The new one is slow as fuck to response when you're using the EPG.

Haven't got me HD box linked to the telephone - what the feck is this update - what am I missing out on?

Download doesn't come down your phone I don't think.

My HD box is an amstrad and i've had the EPG for a while. Whilst it is better than the old one it is slow as feck and a right fanny on to navigate as it takes so long to move around the screens.

Mine was slow as fuck. I googled 'hd epg slow' and there was a fix. Now its fast as fuck

If your box is a MK 1 Thomson (have a look on the back as they are all the same design) it may not have been upgraded as Sky halted the roll-out to these boxes due to overheating power supplies.
