West Ham will begin their rebuilding process by signing Bulgarian winger Martin Petrov on a Bosman free transfer from Manchester City.

Deffo a player we should be after!!!

And use what to pay his wages?
WHU have been offloading all their high earners for the past 18 months or more. The only ones remaining are those that had nice juicy contracts.
Petrov would need to go below 20k pw before WHU will be interested and that isnt going to happen.
WHU are still very broke and when they pay off Zola they will be more so.

He's on a lot of money, and he has a poor injury record.

That too. He did his cruciates at Atletico Madrid, missed much of that season, and missed much of last season with City because of another knee injury.

31 yr old winger on lots of money and a history of knee injuries.

West Ham already have Kieron Dyer, you would think they would learn!

The silly season is upon us. People suggesting sicknotes like Petrov and Bouma be recruited.
Hey lets buy Dyer from WHU, give Tainio an extended 5 year contract. Skrtel may be available as well, he's good for 5 games a season.

I.M.O we need quality young players with sell on values, not people like Petrov etc,one last pay day signings.

Ok so if he is 31 & a sicknote fair enough but the type of player when fit is what we need / lack. Think of the difference that would make to our strikeforce.
