Default Loading software to a netbook

Got a netty generally for family use to surf on while watching the telly and don't need to put a lot of stuff on it but there are one or two bits I've got on DVD-ROM that I want to load up. I know the easiest way is to get an external DVD drive but for the amount I need to do it's not worth forking out the money for one.
I've tried copying an image onto an external hard drive which put it into .GI format but the netty can't seem to host it to run (downloaded MagicDisc but it wouldn't work properly for some reason)
Any easy way of doing it Techs?

If you can attach the netbook to a network, then with a computer on that network that has a DVD drive, you could share the DVD drive so that it is readable by the netbook.... (I'm shite at setting up networks tho).

    Good luck anyways.

Download daemon tools on the netbook and on a PC that has a dvd rom.
Make .img file of the DVD you want to install.
    Put .img on USB stick.
Load .img file into Daemon tools.
    Install.

That's what I would do anyway.

Cheers Helmet that worked, although I did it as an .iso rather than .img as I could get that without loading Daemon Tools onto the PC
