Sorting out a Golf trip away

Its that time of year again for me and the lads to get away for a weekend of drink, dirty wimmin, gambling...and err...golf.

Planning to go away the Friday teatime, up early Saturday for golf then off to a race course after for a dabble, then out on the razzle after.

Really fancied Pontefract but they're not holding a race meeting any Saturday throughout the year. We done York last year and had a cracking time but fancied a change this year and the only other option look's like Beverley. Anyone know if its a decent night out?

Looking to keep it not to far away from home, anything round the Yorkshire area will be champion. If theres any other suggestions im all ears like...

We used to go to Lagganmore (Stranraer Scotland) good package, B&B and evening meal. Good course, tho not long, theres some canny interesting holes on it. 5mins from Stranraer if you want a night out on the town aswell.
We booked buggies everyday, had breakfast, a round, burger n a beer then another round, evening meal, then down the town. Really enoyed it we went for 4 nights in may for about 5 years. Would like to go back again if i start playing again!

The guys from work (Dial A Cab in Shields) used to do that same trip every year. Think they're going to Northumberland this year.

Iv narrowed it down to: York, Beverley, Thirsk and Ripon.

Anyone know what Thirsk and Beverley are like for a night out? Been to both York and Pontefract and both were a class night out if anyone's thinking about going
