They seem brilliant. Had a wee go on one the other week.
Still waiting at mine to arrive though because it needed to be sent to the address me card is registered at but will hopefully have it this weekend.
If you wait till Monday I can let you know what I think after I've had some time to play about with it.

I would hold off a bit cos it seems to be lacking something pretty key to touch screens and usability, pinch to zoom.

They are expensive as well for what you get really, you can get something like the HTC Desire on a much better deal.

Then you have the new iPhone coming in June and the HTC Droid Incredible out soon and also the EVO 4G.

So plenty of choice, dont jump straight onto a £30/£40 a month deal for the Xperia....

After using pretty much every phone ever made (addict ) I still havent found owt better than the iPhone's for usability mind!

i'm just about to get the xperia, not fussed about pinch to zoom. the camera is quite important to me and the iphones is poor in comparison. most apps can be got on both phones and at buymobilephones.net you can get the x10 for £30 a month on an 18 month contract via a t-mobile contract.
(you have to pay £120 for the phone direct through t-mobile online)

I'm with t-mobile and they said they will beat that offer when its time to renew in 5 days.

The new iphone would be nice but will cost a bomb when its released and i simply dont want to pay stupid prices

Your right about the camera the current iPhone camera is crap in anything other than light conditions. The new one is rumoured to have a 5mp one which still aint great by all means!

What I would say is pop into a shop and try it 1st see if you like it. Or wherever you buy it from make sure you can send it back within X days if you aren't happy, some are crafty and say you cant send it back once you have put the SIM in for example!!

Nobody knows yet, Apple keep it a secret until Launch.

    Rumours are pretty much:

    Higher resolution screen
    Better camera
Front facing camera and built in iChat
1Ghz CPU the same as the iPad

As for what else it may have, who knows. They need to introduce a lot compared to the 3GS, as the 3GS was only a tiny bit different to the 3G so they need a decent change this time around imo.

Cheers Sleepy. Interesting stuff. I love Sony kit and was interested in the Experia but they were too expensive over here and not broadly enough used for me to take a chance on. I love my iPhone 3GS like so no regrets. Ut would have liked that Sony keypad.

I hope the new iPhone also let's you scroll in a screen within a screen as your post was so long I couldn't scroll to the bottom to reply!

    x10

Got it a couple of days ago and gotta say i'm impressed, the app store has thousands of apps and games in it. Got an app called Isync which lets you transfer your itunes music and playlists which works well. loads of other nifty features. Internet is very fast compared to my n96 that i had (screens load pretty much instantly), camera is good, films and music play well. The touch screen is very responsive and easy to use (however is doesnt have multitouch so no pinch and zoom, however just double tap to zoom).

The only temporary downside is that it's still running android 1.6 but it has been announced thats its deffinately upgrading to 2.1. The only thing i've noticed that doesnt work with 1.6 is certain themes. every app i've tried has worked fine
