PS - Wimbledon won't have an end as the East stand is currently closed for building work. They are putting a roof on it. You will have to run the guantlet of the Heed Army. I would recommend you do not wear sunderland shirts. It's perfectly acceptable to wear a Sunderland hat or a pin badge at the heed as long as you are supporting Gateshead. Nobody minds that, but if you tip up in Sunderland shirts and start supporting the opposition then you deserve all you will probably get.

About 300 there, 78 Rhyl fans....... bit of a grudge match, there'd been bovver at the prev encounter and theres much animosity between the 2.

They even had a police helicopter on!

Bangor won on pens

Was in North Wales for a gig so thought we'd give it a go for a laugh........... 24 hrs later we travelled direct to the north-east for the real derby @ Sid James

I have seen Gateshead play both of those two clubs at the IS in the old Northern Prem days and I can vouch for the fact that their fans are nutters. The Wrexham fans who turned up a few weeks back were mad as well. Must be something in the North Wales air.

The great thing about Gateshead games is you can go in and sit next to an away fan. The vast majority are great and it makes for an entertaining day usually. I sat among the Wrexham fans a few weeks back and right behind a couple of Kidderminster fans on Saturday.

Cheers for the warning mate was planning on hoying on me 1973 track top but dont think i will now How much is it in there bout £12 ? A lad from work whos from Mansfield went across there earlier in the season for their game v Gateshead and said it was that much like
