    Default Photographing through windows

As posted before, I am a beginner, and looking to learn/improve.

Wandering through city centres, and looking at shop displays in particular, is proving very fertile ground for some of the topics. However, can you do anything to reduce the reflection on the window?

You'll be needing a circular polariser. Basically a two elements lens filter - you rotate the outer one and it reaches a certain point where it eliminates or at the very least cuts down on reflections.

A circular polariser is what you need but I don't know what camera or lens you have.

Polarisers are mint for cutting reflection from glass. Also water, reflections off road signs, wet surfaces and give a nice deep blue sky colour. Avoid a linear polarizer, they don't work with autofocus.

I took some shots like this last year janiep as they caught my attention, particularly the dummies. I even went in some shops and asked if I could take pics and they didn't mind but I doubt if that is the norm.
