Nikon D3000

My compact has finally given up the ghost so after much research between the Canon 1000, Sony A series and the Nikon D3000 I've waited until our lass has gone out and plucked up the bottle to order the Nikon.

£350 quid from amazon and should be here by dinner time tomorrow - can't wait (mind you I'll have to if the battery doesn't come with it as the others |i've ordered won't come until wednesday

)

I went with the Canon Eos 450D last year and never regretted it. Never used Nikon stuff but it's very well thought of.

That was in the group in the next price bracket up for me, I'm twitchy as owt paying £350 for this one never mind £450

I think the new ones at £350 have the same spec as the one I paid £500 for a while back.

Just wait till you get into it and start pulling out for lenses/filters and a proper flash!

I've bought a book to at least give me some idea on how to use it properly - also need to start6 praying that our lass falls my cock and bull story that I got it cheapo in the february sales
