Some people got wet, no one was harmed.

and as a side note, if you do like to splash pedestrians when you're in your car, don't complain when/if it happens to you.

ying and yang 'n all that....
I assume you have no problem with drink driving too.

I remember a few years ago when I was out with my niece and I walked up to a pelican crossing with her and stopped with me on the side of the approaching traffic and a git big puddle directly in front, when the first car approached I stepped back and she got soaked. I took her to my mothers and she was dripping from head to toe.

    All cars can endanger lives.

In this instance some people got wet, that's all we know for sure.

(granted, they were probably speeding, but we don't know for certain.)

Reckless driving? possibly, but as no-one was hurt, points and a small fine should suffice. Yes she could have ploughed into a crowd of nuns on their way to prayers, but she didn't so shouldn't be villified/ treated as if she had.

ps. my finance is sorted, thanks for your concern

pps. the "commentator" should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law, Hanging's too good for the likes of him...

Different type of thing, they don't compare.

I would've expected you to know that. I hope you don't drive if you think driving through a puddle is the same as getting behind the wheel whilst pissed...

    They do compare.

Driving drunk means that you're driving without full control of your car. Driving at speed through a puddle means the same thing. It's very dangerous. She could have aquaplaned very easily, or it was very possible that there would have been a pothole concealed in the puddle. The force of the water could have wrenched the wheel from her grasp, and sent the fast-moving vehicle anywhere.

It's not a harmless prank, not at that speed.

Is drink driving not drink driving if they don't crash?

Reckless driving is reckless driving regardless of outcome.

Think the speed she was doing near a school is far worse.

I have splashed a few people in my time however I think carefully about the victims. If they're old women, kids or decent looking people then they stay dry. If they're wearing black and white tops, if they're chavs with convict caps or if they're strutting around then they get a soaking.

The offence I believe is driving without due care and attention.

pedestrians are road users. you should never drive into a puddle for a number of reasons.

might aquaplane and lose control of vehicle

cause distress to pedestrians or annoyance to other vehicles

what is under that water. How does the driver know the puddle is there because the road has caved in and a broken water mater caused the flooding

ps i havent looked at the video

Agree, should be given maximum punishment. Scumbags trick.
