Re: Fm 09, Signings
Started unemployed. Got the Senegal job for my first year, then after seeing the Millwall manager get sacked after relegating them to league 2, I decided to apply and take that job. As usual all of my signings were free. I don't like to pay for players until i'm in the premiership.
So:
GK: Darren Ward (35yo)
LB: Michael Jackson (26)
CB: Andy Todd (35)
RM: Imantis Blieidis (33)
LM: Andy Van Der Meyde (31)
CF: Richard Cresswell (32)
CF: Salva (34)
It's a great experience being a team you've never been before with players you've never managed before.

Forgot to mention Danny Graham and my amazing midfielder Ryan France (formally of Hull) who has scored 5 in 7 so far for me this season.

Alexis Sanchez
Kerrison
Marquinhos
Thiago Heleno
Ramires
Leo
Fleck
Delph
Most of these are costly, but you can always sell them off for double, if not treble, what you pay for them.

Re: Fm 09, Signings
Simon Vuckcevic
Ivan Rakitic
Rafinha
Salvatore Foti
Franco Zuculini
Arturo Vidal
Gojco Kacar
Razvan Rat
Johnny Evans
Sebastian Prodl
Neven Subotic
Probably my best signings for Sunderland over the course of 10 seasons.
NB Other than regens.

Re: Fm 09, Signings
Ramires - hes now in the proper Brazil team, one of my first signings when the game first came out
Vuckcevic - scored 32 goals from midfield for me in one season
Veluso - will cost loads, but one of the best statted players on it
Vela - if you can get him, turns out as one of the best strikers on the game
Kroos - one of the best players on the game in the future
Bojan - tho doubt you can get him he apparently sometimes gets the boot by Barca (tho ive never ever seen it happen)
Sakho - good young defender
Zapata - as above, can play RB too
Saivet - fast young striker
Mattock - never had him myself but looked class on my game
Off the top of my head.
There is a class defender and a class striker I cant remember the name of, aint played it in about 5 months as got bored of it.

That happened with Bojan in my game. I tired to sign him but wages were an issue at the start of season 2.
I signed Mattock but he never really got established for me. I had Rat who probably wasn't quite as good defensively but seemed better in attack (he takes a good freekick and gets more assists) and then latterly some regens one of whom, Harper, is better defensively and in attack than Mattock and the other, Kearns, who is on a par with Mattock in defence and better than either Mattock or Harper going forward. Kearns has a 20 freekick stat as well.

Re: Fm 09, Signings
Mattock is very hit and miss. More miss for me.
Gignac can be aquired for around 5 million.
Tore Reginuessen (sp) - Norweigen central defender. Awesome for the first few seasons.
Matias Agueierrey (again, sp) - Uruaguayan right back/right midfielder - cheap, solid and commands pittance in wages.
Surprisingly, Chris McCann from Burnley. £1.3 million, with 25% of next sale. Versatile, and used to be a regular before I signed Ireland and Ignacio Camachio (sp) from At. Madrid. Everton want him, and I may accept bids circa 5 Million. Can't complain.
