    This is a sad day for English football.

    One of the true legends of the modern game passing is such a tragedy. My thoughts go out to his family.

    When I got the email from the BBC telling me of the news I was truly shocked, its not very often that I am truly shocked.

    The word legend is often overused but not in his case. I hope we can see some rememberence programmes that remind everyone what an outstanding player, manager and personality he was.

    Farewell to a man who earned the respect he still carried in the game........

    I doubt we will see the like of him or his achievements again.........

    Rest in Peace Brian although I suspect the peace and quiet upstairs is about to be disturbed.........
