    Default Transfer market

    Dreadfully quiet.
Sunderland transfer news, or lack of it, down to a depressed market?

World cups still going so a lot of players aren't available for negotiations , Sunderland have actually done buisness already(which is the first time I remember us moving this early since the transfer window was introduced)

When people say there isn't a lot of news because the World Cup is on what they mean is the journalists don't need to make up complete fabricated lies to fill column inches with as they can just report on England, Fabio and the World Cup. As soon as that's finished they'll start spewing out the made up crap, don't worry...

Clubs wont sell their better players at this stage unless they really have to.

Wolves have done pretty much all our business this summer by targetting the best players at the clubs that went down.

There is a depressed market though and with this new 25 man squad rule i can see clubs trying to hold on to their star players towards the end of the market.

It needs some big moves to get the market going, Manchester City dropping a lot of money on a few players probably, but that's not going to happen until after the World Cup.
