Is there a quick way of turning it off?

The interior of mine looks like the one in my link ... http://usedcars.audi.co.uk/zoom.aspx?Id=601101461

and the user manual says (of the large buttons)...

"Turn the left control (A) to select the temp for left hand side and right control (B) to select temp for right hand side.

The functions can be switched on and off by briefly pressing the buttons. The diodes in the buttons light up when the function is switched on."

However, these seem to be dials not buttons, and don't appear to be able to be pressed, and later in the manual it says...

"Keep pressing the (-) button for the blower until the display segment is empty. The air conditioner is switched off and the supply of air from outside the car is cut off"!
